UNIGLOBE Travel Designers, founded in Columbus in 1981, became one of the first franchises in the United States for UNIGLOBE Travel International, a company based in Canada. The company had grown from a small business, with two agents, to a thriving company with employees. Elizabeth Blount McCormick, the president and co-owner had returned to Columbus and joined her mother, Elsie, in running the company. UNIGLOBE Travel Designers had a desire to increase the company’s exposure and position the company president as a visible business and industry leader through.
