GREENCREST Selected as Outstanding Corporate Volunteer

COLUMBUS, Ohio-GREENCREST, a fully integrated marketing agency built to propel small-to mid-size businesses to become distinguished category leaders, is pleased to announce being honored as an Outstanding Corporate Volunteer for its dedication and in-kind donations to New Directions Career Center throughout the past year.

The GREENCREST team worked with New Directions Career Center staff and board to uncover the organization’s brand distinction and unique marketing message to the community.  “The message rang through loud and clear,” states GREENCREST president Kelly Borth a certified brand specialist who facilitated the group through the discovery process.  “’Lives Get Changed Here’ is the brand position that GREENCREST helped us formulate and nothing could be truer,” adds Linda Danter New Directions Career Center executive director. “It just resonated with us and we knew it the minute it was presented to us.”

In addition to the brand discovery work GREENCREST donated to the Center, the creative agency also outfitted New Direction Career Center with a refreshed organizational identity in honor of its 30th Anniversary year, designed and wrote a new Web site,  developed a new agency brochure and graphics for a promotional banner.  “We have had so many compliments on everything GREENCREST has done for us,” expressed Danter. “Without the help of the GREENCREST team, we would not have the professional image and targeted branding that is helping us to do a better job of presenting our organization to potential volunteers, funders, board members and potential clients.  We will be forever grateful for the major contribution GREENCREST provided to the Center.”

The board and staff of New Directions had a unanimous vote to honor GREENCREST as the recipient of the Outstanding Corporate Volunteer Award.  “As we wrap up our current fiscal year, I am convinced that GREENCREST’s work was instrumental in helping us to realize a successful year.  At a time when the poor economy had an adverse affect on most nonprofit organizations, we enjoyed one of our best years ever!” adds Danter.

As a young agency, GREENCREST was hired by Danter to assist New Directions Career Center in obtaining greater exposure and market recognition of its work.  GREENCREST continued to provide services to the Center even after Danter’s departure. So when Danter and Borth ran into each other at a fundraising event for the Franklin Park Conservatory in 2009, shortly after Danter returned to the Center and stepped into the lead role, the two embraced, met and began discussing how Borth and GREENCREST could help Danter and New Directions Career Center.

“We have grown and matured into a 20-year old business and this was our opportunity to give back to a remarkable and unique career services organization that really does change lives,” explains Borth.  “It has been our pleasure to help an organization that stands for something so great and works hard all-year long to enrich people within our community.“

Borth and art director Joanna Osterfeld will accept the award on behalf of the GREENCREST team at the New Directions “Fall Festival” and Annual Meeting at 5:30 p.m. on September 28, 2010 at Dill’s Greenhouse and Nursery in Canal Winchester. “The evening will be hosted by graduates of the Center and will allow GREENCREST to be publicly thanked for all of its efforts put forth,” states Danter.
