Small Business Administration Honors Borth as 2006 Business Champion

Kelly Borth, president of GREENCREST, will be honored by the Small Business Administration Columbus District as the 2006 Women in Business Champion of the Year.

The district recognized Borth for her strong entrepreneurial spirit and her continuous dedication to inspiring and supporting women business owners. The award will be presented at a dinner reception on Tuesday, April 18 at the University Plaza Hotel.

Borth co-founded Greencrest Marketing, Inc. in 1990 and became sole owner in 1995. The company changed its name to GREENCREST in 1998 and is recognized as one of Columbus’ leading agencies.

Borth has received numerous awards including the 2005 National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Visionary Award and 2003 Member of the Year Award. She is the recipient of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce’s 1998 Sales Executive Club Communicator of the Year Award and a 1999 Ernst and Young® Supporter of Entrepreneurship finalist.

Borth currently serves on the board for Friends of the Columbus Public Library, Neighborhood

Design Center and Young Survivor Coalition, and is a member of the American Heart Association

Columbus Metro Board. She is president of the St. Pius X Parish Council, and is a board advisor for

NAWBO, Athena PowerLink, Family Business Center of Central Ohio, The Inn at Cedar Falls and Shepherd’s Corner.
