Media Relations/PR Specialist
The Media Relations/PR Specialist will be part of a team that provides public relations and media relations to support the clients’ marketing communications strategy. The right person will have experience writing news releases, creating media kits, developing and sustaining relationships with the media and coming up with appropriate pitches and story ideas to support the clients’ PR plans. This person will have a great grasp of grammar and AP style, be able to conduct research to gather information for news releases or pitches, and be able to collaborate with other team members. This person might also be asked to contribute to other copy writing, including case studies, white papers and brochures.
This position requires a BS/BA degree in communications, journalism, English, advertising or a related field. This person must have at least 5 years of experience in media relations or copy writing. Attention to detail is a must with a proven ability to generate great writing to successfully engage targeted audiences.
This part-time position will be approximately 20 hours per week. This position could start in early November. They are offering a very attractive hourly rate and a flexible schedule.
