Borth Receives PRSA Accreditation

GREENCREST President Kelly Borth, APR, CBC, was recently re-accredited by the Universal Accreditation Board of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Borth, originally accredited in 1998, retained the credential by leading and participating in a variety of programs and professional projects from 2002 to 2004. She earned re-accreditation points by attending seminars and programs, performing volunteer or pro-bono work, public speaking engagements, and serving on the Masters Committee for the Central Ohio Chapter of the PRSA, among other works related to the practice of public relations.

“PRSA is the leading voice among public relations practitioners,” Borth said. “Achieving APR is a mark of distinction and gaining it is a meaningful part of my professional career.”

Borth holds several prominent industry designations and honors, including Certified Business Communicator (CBC) from the Business Marketing Association and Member of the Year for the Columbus Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, which she earned in 2003.

In addition to her PRSA membership, Borth currently serves on the board of Friends of the Columbus Public Library, Neighborhood Design Center and Employment for Seniors, and is a member of the Steering Committee for the Go Red for Women of the American Heart Association Columbus Metro Board. She is also is president-elect of the St. Pius X Parish Council and is a past president of the development board of Heinzerling Foundation, Columbus Advertising Federation and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). She is a board advisor for NAWBO, Shepherd’s Corner, Inn at Cedar Falls and Spa Bar, and served for seven years as a trustee of the Jefferson Water & Sewer District.
